About this Program

This education-centered initiative reflects Adelante’s mission by cultivating hands-on learning experiences that build musical skills, business skills and confidence in students and emerging artists.

Check out some clips from our recent education engagements at San Angelo State University and Summer Music in Tuscany:

Student Faculty Joint Performance

Adelante often performs with students attending the Summer Music in Tuscany festival.  This hands-on experience pushes students to achieve a higher artistic standard while giving them a sense for professional level playing.

Masterclasses

At Philadelphia High School for Girls, Adelante's own oboist, Freddie Blood, shares tips on breathing and breath support with the band students.  We love to share our music and experience with younger generations to inspire and lift them to a higher level.

Seminar at

San Angelo State University

We strongly believe in the power of sharing our story to inspire and empower younger generations to achieve excellence.  In this seminar, we shared our experience in building a chamber group together.  We talked about the business challenges, musical challenges as well as the operational challenges as discussed in the video included here.

"Having the Adelante Winds come and work with our students at Angelo State University was an absolute delight. Their performance was a great example of artistry at the professional level. I greatly appreciated the diversity and relevancy of the works performed at their concert. The masterclasses were very insightful and a great learning experience for every student who had the opportunity to participate. All members of the Adelante Winds are highly approachable and all-around easy to talk to. I am thankful that they were willing to talk to our students not only about their playing, but also about their lives and what it actually means to be a professional musician, and how that can be achieved. During their residency, the Adelante Winds did an amazing job at educating, performing, and emulating what it means to be a professional musician in the modern world to our students. I hope to collaborate with them again in the future!"
