Adelante Winds will be offering its 3rd Annual Chamber Music Day Camp at Schreiner University!
This program, which awards a full tuition scholarship to all participants, is designed to improve young students' overall musicianship through chamber music.

Why Chamber Music?
Helps to build confidence as a musician
Increases their sense of responsibility
Enhances communication and interpersonal skills

What will be offered?
Students will be learning how to use free music software programs such as NoteFlight.
Masterclasses will be offered by Adelante Winds Performing Artists and guest artists.
One private lesson will be included with the tuition. Additional lessons will be offered for a fee.
Students will be placed in chamber ensembles with the opportunity to perform one standard work and one piece where they will be coached in arranging.
Students will be guided through the recording process and will live stream a final concert showcasing their work through the week.

Who is it for?
Woodwind & Brass players, with a minimum of 3 years playing experience, up to grade 12.
Students can participate from any area in the USA, but all scheduling will be based on the Central Time Zone.


How To Apply:
Please follow the links below to submit your application, audition recording, and application fee.  We are accepting applications from high school musicians of all levels for a day camp at Shreiner University in Kerrville, TX.


Audition Recording:
Both audio and video recordings are accepted.
Recordings made on your phone, tablet, or computer are acceptable, but please make a recording that reflects your best playing.
You will submit three separate unedited files of the repertoire below.
Each recording may not exceed 4 minutes.
When labeling the file include your first and last name as well as the title of the piece. For example:
  • GustavoDudamel_RiteOfSpring.mp3
  • HilaryHahn_Partita3.mov

Repertoire:
2 octave chromatic scale
2 contrasting pieces (etudes or solo works)

After submitting your application, please press the donate button below to pay the nonrefundable application fee. In the note, you must include the student's name to receive credit for your application fee.
